During this course, students will:
Have the opportunity to explore and experiment with different materials, such as pencils, pastels and different types of paint, paintbrushes, collage and clay.
Realise that art can be created on diverse types of surfaces and not only paper. Such surfaces will include canvas, ceramics, fabric and different types of paper.
Be inspired and encouraged to create their own artwork. Although children will receive guidance by the tutor, at Budding Artists we strongly believe that an artwork should have the artist’s own mark in it, placing more importance on the process, rather then the ending outcome. This is especially applicable in the Budding Artists Tinies Age Group.
At this very young age young age, the process of art revolves around the journey, rather than the result. Therefore, despite a young child’s artwork may not make sense to an adult, it will surely be meaningful for the young artist if s/he has been wholly immersed and involved in the process of creating that piece of art.
Classes are made up of small groups to ensure individual attention. This will help each child to feel supported and valued, and also feel comfortable in a secure and friendly environment.
All materials are included.
Parents of children under 16 who participated in any Cultural or Creative courses are eligible to apply for a tax deduction of up to €300 per child.
